Dom3d – Bedside Table

I have finalised the plywood bedside tables/nightstands and cleaned the geometry for both standard and mitred versions. I categorised them as follows:

  1. Basic
    width min 200 – max 600mm
    depth min 300- max 600mm
Height min 350 max 750mm, The two drawers to be adjustable separately in terms of door handles and heights, so min heights for the drawers are 150, max 375mm
  2. Open Shelves
Width and depth are the same as before. The height of the two sections to be adjustable separately but with the same principle, min 350mm max 750mm
  3. Top Open + Drawer
Width and depth are the same as before. The height of the two sections to be adjustable separately but with the same principle, min 350mm max 750mm. If we could drawer handles are adjustable separately for each section.
  4. 3 Rows.
Each section is to be adjustable separately with a total Max height of 900mm, and a min 400mm, so each section would be min around 130mm , a 300mm
  5. 4 sections
    width min 200 – max 900mm
    depth min 300- max 600mm
    Height min 350 max 750mm,
I was wondering if we could have the width of two columns adjustable separately so left and right with min 100mm and max 450mm

The height of both rows is adjustable so min heights for the drawers are 150mm, max 375mm, and the same in the case of the open shelves. (The adjacent cupboard will follow the height)

The large planes on the left or right are doors with one shelf inside.

If we could have all handles adjustable for each element separately.

  6. 3 Sections
    width min 200 – max 900mm
    depth min 300- max 600mm
    Height min 350 max 750mm,
All the rest are like in the model before.
  7. 1 drawer type
    width min 200 – max 900mm
    depth min 300- max 600mm
    Height min 350 max 750mm,
Separate height adjustments for the open sections and the drawers.
One material applies to each piece of furniture.

As you can see majority of furniture is either a mirrored version of the original model or the mitred version, so each of them tripled.
I hope I’ve made it relatively clear, but let me know if you have any questions

Kellivale

I also want to start advertising “Vine Dining” and “Birthday/Special Day” private events available…Private Functions, Christmas parties etc etc etc…..how/where do we do that? Another TAB ? Thoughts? Ideas?

I also need to think about our next bottling/Label…..Probably want to add a Pig this time…..Boris the pig…..It is for our Tempranillo 2024 vintage bottling in February…..Maybe put him pig rooting around at the side of the trailer??? Thoughts/Ideas please.

We can have page with a events enquiry form that gets emailed to you and link from the home page and from the events page saying ‘Book your event here’?

You have any pictures of the pig in question? Any distinguishing details and size comparisons next to something/someone? I can start sketches some time

Dom3d – Tweaks

I have organized the screenshots by category name and added new ones to indicate the removal of edges on larger furniture pieces.

The general principle is to remove all visible edges from larger furniture. This means the top and bottom edges, the back panel edge, and the shelf division edges, as shown in the screenshots, should not be visible.

For smaller furniture types like single chests of drawers or sideboards (without any upper units), we should only remove the back panel edge and any potential division edges in the middle. However, the top and bottom edges should remain visible.

To clarify:

  • For any furniture with a usable top surface (up to 1.2m in height) and no additional unit on top, the top should appear continuous, with visible side edges.
  • If an additional module is placed on top, all edges should become invisible.

For example:

  • Chest of drawers layout 1: The side edges would be visible, but the back panel edge should not be.
  • Layouts 2 & 3: All edges to be invisible, as the shelf unit is positioned between the uprights.

I hope this makes sense.

Additionally, I was wondering if we could set default dimensions for certain wardrobes to make it clearer for clients:

  1. Wardrobe 1 – Set a default height of 2m when launched.
  2. Wardrobe 2 – Set the main section’s maximum height to 1.8m.
  3. Wardrobe 3 – Same as Wardrobe 2, with a maximum height of 1.8m.

These defaults would help clients better understand the type of furniture they’re working with.

Minor Update:

I spoke with the workshop recently, and they mentioned that some large furniture pieces can be tricky to set, especially if the floor is uneven, as they might require a base of some sort.

– Can we add optional adjustable plinths (ranging from 50 to 250mm) to all potentially large furniture like wardrobes, shelves, dressers, and chests of drawers? So there would be a button to add a plinth and the plinths would extend the frame and create a base underneath. Note that the maximum panel size is 2.4m, so joints will be visible. But it’s not necessary, we can keep it plain.  The plinth colour matches either the frame or the fronts, as shown in the attached 3D visuals.

General comments to all

  • Maple texture- can we make it slightly less shiny – I think plywood benches and tables were very reflective in this colour
  • Can we rename these two texture categories – I’ve received the samples from the suppliers and they appeared to be slightly different from the samples on the internet:  Altofina Blue 011 – to become Turquoises, Formica Just Blue F8821 – Light Blues, Formica Denim F8822 – Mid Blues
  • Can we remove the edges in all large furniture – so we see only joint or nothing instead of the thickness of the shelves.
  • Can we remove the plywood edge off the back panels so it sits between the sides– it’s visible on wardrobe, sideboard, dresser and I presume shelves.
  • The left top handle position appears as the right
  • The right top handle position appears as the left
  • Let’s remove 24mm from all configurators as the material is no longer available we will have only 18 & 30mm
  • The guy web developer came across some strange colour display which is very weird as it never happened to me. The colours are much darker, however, although the palette itself looks correct. Do you know what could be the reason? Please check the screenshot

I believe the web developer can handle these points, but I wanted to ask you:

  • Navigation: Is it possible to simplify the overall navigation in the configurators? I’ve shared it with a few people, and they found it somewhat difficult to use.
  • Tab organization: My idea is to reduce the number of tabs by merging related items. For example:

Under “Size & Layout,” we could group columns, shelves, door sections, and door handles so that everything is accessible in one place rather than navigating through multiple tabs.

Materials: Could we merge the three palettes into one with tabs for “door,” “frame,” “shelves,” “back,” etc., with a single colour palette below?

When adding shelves, could the material selection and thickness options appear in one tab?

Wardrobe 1

  • Camera adjustment: Adjust to show the entire piece of furniture.
  • Colour palette: Update to the latest colours.
  • Handle texture: Setting “poly” as a handle shows a triangle texture on the door front.
  • Layout 4: When adding shelves to the bottom of the main section, could they start from the bottom up in a sequence (shelf 1, shelf 2, etc.), rather than starting from the top?

Wardrobe 2

  • Colour palette: Update to the latest colours.
  • Handle texture: The “Poly” handle shows a triangle texture on the door front.
  • Drawer alignment: The drawer is slipping out from the wardrobe.
  • Drawer count: When reducing the bottom section, the drawer count doesn’t reduce to 1; two drawers are still visible and sticking out.
  • Material thickness: Remove the 24mm option, leaving only 18mm and 30mm.
  • Layout 4: Shelves should start from the bottom and move upward in sequence.
  • Drawer button: Could we add a button to open drawers by clicking on them?

Wardrobe 3

  • Drawer count: Reducing the bottom section doesn’t limit the drawers to one; two drawers still appear and stick out.
  • Top doors: One door occasionally shrinks when changing handle types.
  •  Layouts 2, 3, 4: These layouts lack top shelves, and shelves cannot be added.
  • Layout 4: Shelves should start from the bottom and move upward in sequence.
  • Double door: One top door may appear shorter in double-door settings.
  • Drawer button: Add a button to open drawers by clicking.
  • Colour palette: Update to the latest colours.

Bookshelf

  • The unit doesn’t appear – only legs visible for some reason
  • The brown texture on the palette appears as Concrete 006 Sating and Silver Effect

Dresser

  • Colour Palette to be updated
  • The brown texture on the preview appears as Concrete 006 Sating and Silver Effect
  • Layout 3 – Sometimes the front of the cupboard disappears and does not appear
  • Can we make the Button to open the drawers after clicking on them
  • Can we decrease the max width for the single column to 600mm?  So once the width is more than 650mm 1 column is no longer available. It’s necessary only for layout 1 & 2 as the opening panels would be too big to manufacture and make it operate.

Sideboard

  • The unit doesn’t appear – only legs visible for some reason
  • The brown texture appears as Concrete 006 Sating and Silver Effect

Chest of Drawers

  • The colours update
  • Drawer button: Add a button to open drawers by clicking.
  • Camera adjustment: The whole unit is not visible when it is narrow and tall.
  • Edges: Adjustments needed.
  • Layout 1: The bottom front sometimes sticks out; Can we reduce the max drawer count to three for 600mm settings?
  • Width and depth adjustments: Part of the front sticks out when adjusting width or depth.
  • Camera adjustment: Needed for narrower units.
  • Drawer button: Add a button to open drawers by clicking.

Bench Plywood Legs

  • The brown texture appears as Concrete 006 Sating and Silver Effect
  • Formica Just Blue and Denim F8822: Appear overly sharp. X-type legs don’t have textures – walnut, oak – just plane colour
  • Walnut, maple , oak, grain to be oriented alongside the longer edge, same for the bottom platform in the table with uprights T shape & joist, X frame  support beams – the same principle
  • U- outer – the upper part of the curve doesn’t seem to be straight for some reason on both sides – U – inner is straight
  • Double arch texture has some visible joints on the edge – near the curve, looks like there are dents
  • Maple texture- can we make it slightly less shiny

Table Plywood Legs

  • Update to colours
  • Top texture orientation – Walnut, maple, oak, grain to be oriented alongside the longer edge, same for the bottom platform in the table with uprights T shape & joist, X frame  support beams – the same principle

Steel Legs bench – let’s call it other legs

  • Leg Color Bug: The hairpin leg color doesn’t reset when switching to non-hairpin styles.
  • Altofina Green colour looks kind of different on the model
  • Formica Just Blue doesn’t look right, too sharp for some reason, The same Formica Denim F8822 Matte
  • The brown texture appears as Concrete 006 Sating and Silver Effect
  • Chunky X frame white finish not available please remove
  • A – frame – 2.4m length is missing – Have I sent it to you?
  • Legs for bench with back support – please remove the white finish
  • Single pin – tapered should be in oak finish – no other finish options

Steel Legs table – let’s call it other legs

Many things same as in the bench

  • Leg Color Bug: The hairpin leg color doesn’t reset when switching to non-hairpin styles.
  • Main Colour palette to be updated
  • Something strange happens as sometimes there are two colour palettes for legs that are only black grey and white
  • X chunky frame is missing – Do you have it?
  • F – clamp – top is positioned wrongly, should be shifted up
  • Oak legs colour is not fixed as oak – you called it single pin tapered – it’s only oak finish nothing else
  • I can see the Admin panel at the bottom

Corner desk

  • Texture orientation – Walnut, maple, oak, all types with grains to be oriented parallel to the longer edge, please check the upright and beams.
  • Materials update
  • Can we limit the width to 1200 instead of 1300
  • Can we make the joint between two parts of the desk to make textures parallel to the long edges on both sides

Corner desk with storage

  • Can we make the joint between two parts of the desk to make textures parallel to the long edges?
  • Materials update
  • Texture orientation – Walnut, maple, oak, all types with grains to be oriented parallel the longer edge , please check the upright and beams.
  • Full door handle on the storage with door to be alongside the top edge same as the drawers
  • Materials update
  • When the Corner to the right set it has the wrong position of the handles – should be the opposite

Desk , Adjustable legs, Desk with drawer

  • Materials update

Desk with side shelves

  • Full door handle on the storage door to be alongside the top edge same as the drawers
  • Door and storage panels’ wood texture orientation to be from top to bottom same
  • We should be able to add/remove the long drawer from underneath the top
  • When storage on the left it has wrong position of the door handles – should be opposite side
